Coptic Orthodox Liturgical Chant & Hymnody: the Ragheb Moftah Collection

From the Library of Congress, "With its roots in Ancient Egyptian music, Coptic Christian chant is one of the oldest liturgical genres still performed today. Drawing on the Ragheb Moftah Collection, this presentation explores some of the earliest music transcriptions by explorers, missionaries, and scholars in Egypt, highlighting Moftah's efforts to notate, record, and preserve all Coptic Orthodox hymns." Digital Egypt for Universities

"A learning and teaching resource for higher education," the Digital Egypt for Universities site includes many images and maps of ancient Egypt, all organized by date and subject. The site is fairly well organized and the images are decent quality. In addition, the authors have included learning resources for professors of many different disciplines. The Egypt Archive

Created by Jon Bodsworth, the Egypt Archive is a collection of images that he has taken on his travels in Egypt. The images are organized by location, and are high quality. The images are copyright free, though Jon would appreciate an email when they are used.

Mark Millmore's Ancient Egypt

Mark Millmore's Ancient Egypt is an extensive site, including everything from software to quiz games about ancient Egypt. However, the site includes few images. To find them, browse the subject categories on the left hand toolbar and scroll through the article. They are fairly small, though most can probably be adequately re-sized for projection. The content on the side is available for educational use, though the author would like to be credited.

Theban Mapping Project

The Theban Mapping Project is a project based out of the American University at Cairo, and includes extensive resources about the Valley of the Kings and the Acropolis at Thebes. The site include images, movies, a bibliography, glossary, timeline, links, and information on how to become an Egyptologist. The images are very high quality well organized.
